Transition to Boston

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be invited to attend Husky 101 Boston Orientation and receive ongoing support as you transition into academic and social life in Boston. This orientation occurs in the summer before your second year, orienting you to the Boston campus. Once you arrive in Boston, there will be coordinated efforts to continue to keep you engaged in campus life. Information about Husky 101 will be emailed to you during the summer before their second year.

If you complete the 2026-2027 London Scholars program, then you are guaranteed university housing for your second year in Boston, provided you meet the application and deposit deadlines. You can choose between university housing and off-campus options. University housing can take the form of traditional residence halls, suite-style buildings, or apartment-style buildings near campus.

London Scholars can participate in co-op during their time at Northeastern University. All Northeastern students complete the co-op preparation course in the second year, regardless of signature program. As a London Scholar, you can typically begin your first co-op as early as the first semester of your third year. The independence and global perspective you build during your year in London are real advantages when you enter the job market.
