Housing
London Scholars is a residential program. Students are required to live in university-assigned accommodations contracted through the Northeastern University London Housing Team.
Important
Do not book housing independently, including directly with NU London’s housing providers.
The housing application process opens post-May 1. Details will be sent to students on that timeline.
Support Onsite
-
Community Coordinators
Community Coordinators (CCs) live alongside students in the residence halls for the full duration of the program. Each student is assigned an CC who serves as the primary point of contact for check-ins, routine questions, and connecting with support and resources in London. CCs are full-time, trained professional staff who work during business hours.

Urgent situations
24/7 emergency on-call
For urgent situations, the Residence Life team operates a 24/7 emergency on-call hotline. The number is provided to all students upon arrival.
Community and Activities
London Scholars have access to a full calendar of events throughout the year. Community Meals bring students together each semester, and the NU London Student App (Apple App Store, Google Play) lists upcoming activities ranging from West End shows and football matches to cooking classes and day trips to nearby towns.
Northeastern Traditions
London Scholars also take part in Northeastern Traditions, events celebrated across all Northeastern campuses worldwide. These shared experiences connect students to the broader Husky community well before you arrive in Boston.
Personal Travel
Students can travel outside of class time, but studies and visa status come first. Travel that impacts a student’s attendance or coursework can affect their ability to remain in the program.
Visas are your responsibility
If students plan to travel outside the UK, it is their responsibility to obtain any necessary visas for their destination country. Northeastern University London cannot advise on visas for other countries – check the destination country’s government website for requirements.
Complete the Personal Travel Form before any trip. Attendance at all classes is expected.
