Program Overview
Your first year—in London
London Scholars is a first-year program that places you at Northeastern’s London campus for the entirety of your first-year of college. You’ll study alongside a cohort of fellow incoming Northeastern students, take courses that count toward your major and NUpath requirements, and live in the heart of one of the world’s most connected cities before joining the Boston campus in your second year.
Northeastern University London is based at Devon House in St Katharine Docks, minutes from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, in the heart of central London.
Living there
The program is residential. You’ll live in university-assigned housing managed by the Northeastern University London Housing Team, with professional staff on-site around the clock. Community Coordinators are with you from arrival, helping you get oriented, build community, and navigate life in a new city. Throughout the year, they host one-on-ones, community dinners, and social events designed to help you settle in and thrive.
History
London Scholars launched in 2023 as part of Northeastern’s commitment to giving students meaningful, place-based experience from their very first semester. London was a deliberate choice. Its influence across finance, media, technology, and the arts makes it one of the few cities where first-year students can connect their coursework to a world-class professional and cultural landscape immediately. The program has grown every year since, and remains one of the most distinctive ways to start the Northeastern undergraduate experience.
